This is never easy for me, this little self-introductory snapshot bio, but I’ll try, because I just realized that my name is nowhere to be found on this blog.
For all visitors stopping by – Namaste. My name is Neha Bawa, and I’m a self proclaimed poet who teaches English writing at Tunxis Community College in Farmington, CT.
I’ve been blogging and writing poetry for a number of years, and my most recent poetry project was poemAddiction, a collaborative poetry weblog set up during the month of April as an homage to National Poetry Writing Month (NaPoWriMo). The objective of poemAddicion was to write one poem every day, for 30 days.
I found that since I liked collaboration so much, I’d ask the original cast of 100 Days from 2008 if I could be involved with the 09 project, and they very kindly agreed to fold me in. So here I am.
For 2010, I’ll be continuing with poetry, but it’s going to be micro-poetry. Very much like a Twitter update – my goal is to write a 100 poems in 140 characters or less. Since my poems (and I) tend to be wordy, this will be a heck of a challenge for me
Every once in a while, I also tinker on my own, non-collaborative weblog, Neha Bawa but only when teaching, grad school, poetry writing and long distance running aren’t taking up my time.
If you’d like to find me, mosey on over to the Contact page.
